Please forgive me. When I returned and started planning for the competition in 2017, I put up a story about our time on the cruise, put up lots of pictures, then started teaching our summer camp here at CSTL but I never devoted a page to our winners!
1st place was won by Miss Audrey Cheng with her winning idea: Enhancing the Efficiency of Self-Assembled Organic Solar Cells with the Addition of a Second Electron Donor and Graphene. She is seen here with one of CSTL’s directors, Dr. Ray Ann Havasy.
2nd place was awarded to Mr. Jubin Gorji and his idea: A Portable Low-Cost Device Employing Recycled Synchronous Electric Motors to Generate Renewable Electricity. He is seen here receiving his award from the captain of the Adonia, Ms. Sarah Breton, one of two female cruise ship captains in the world!
3rd place was awarded to Misses Aadya Bhaskaran and Divya Gandla with their idea: Analyzing the Efficacy of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells Using Various Natural Dyes. Seen here with Captain Breton during the award ceremony.
The amount of dedication, work and effort required by all of the contestants was incredible and all of the ideas presented to our judges were equally impressive. Everyone left with prize money to put into their research and their ideas so they can truly…
Make An Impact.
Congratulations to all of our contestants!
