So… I know that you are all going about your daily lives. Students and teams working on school-related work. Judges, especially professors, are dealing with the end-of-semester work and well, we’re all busy! I spent my day in doing a field trip for 4 year old kids and then in one of our pre-school classes. Yup, I’m not just the guy running Clean Tech 🙂
I know that this period between when you submitted your papers and Monday the 8th when the semi-finalists are announced is stressful. You’re wondering how your paper’s being scored. Will it (and you) make the semi-finals? What’s Long Island like? Where will we stay if/when we make the Final? How am I going to spend the money WHEN I win?
All good questions and sadly, I can’t help you. At least not yet. Now when the scoring is done and if you’d like it, I can share with you, the judges comments, but you’ll have to ask for them. +1-516-764-004 or CleanTech@CSTL.org. Even still… you’ve got to wait for them too! Ugh!
Tom Petty was right when he sang “…the waiting’s the hardest part…” but good things come to those who wait. Who knows, maybe come the 8th, you’ll get an email from me stating you’re a semi-finalist?!
If your team accepts a position in the Final, we’ll talk more but a decision will have to be made quickly about whether or not you’ll be heading to Stony Brook University to showcase your idea to our judges and to the world!
So… patience… It’s something I’m having to find as the judges continue their papers but we’ll all get there together and it’ll be you who will show the world how you Created A Greener Future.
